Davis Creek Trail #244
The majority of the trail is in moderate to heavy timber with only a few scenic vistas. Evidence of old mining and timber activities are visible from the trail. The roads to the western trailhead are extremely rough and not recommended for passenger vehicles. There are loops at both trailheads for easy trailer parking. This trail has very little vertical relief for the first six miles from the eastern end, running relatively close to the contours. The trail is rocky and rough in spots visitors using mountain bikes should be prepared for rocky conditions.

Directions
#1 East end - From the town of Prairie City, OR., travel east on US Highway 26, approximately 12 miles to the junction of Forest Service Road 2614. Proceed approximately 2 miles to Forest Service Road 2614229. Turn south on Forest Service Road 2614229, drive approximately 1/4 mile to the trailhead.
#2 West end - From the town of Prairie City, OR., travel approximately 12 miles east on US Highway 26 to the junction with US Highway 7. Follow US Highway 7 for approximately 1 mile to the junction with County Road 20. Follow County Road 20 for approximately 7 miles to the junction with Forest Service Road 2050. Drive approximately 1/4 mile to trailhead. DO NOT TURN UP THE HILL AWAY FROM THE CREEK. Forest Service Road 2050072 up the creek bottom becomes impassable, you may use this road as part of the trail.
