Carberry Group Campground

Carberry Group Campground is located along Cougar Creek. The tent site locations vary in size, with the smaller, more intimate sites found adjacent to Cougar Creek. Lake access is found across County Road 777 from the campground, with a trail that leads to Carberry Creek. (When the lake is full, the trail ends at the lake). There is nearby access to Applegate Lake.  There are wheelchair accessible facilities and trails.

General Information

Open 24 hours/day

50% discount for single site camping with any of these passes: Interagency Senior, Interagency Access, Golden Age, or Golden Access.

  • Quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
  • Campfires in developed fire pits only
  • Fireworks are prohibited
  • Dogs must be on leash
  • OHV/ATV use prohibited in the campground

Single Site: $15 per night Peak Season (mid-May through mid-September)
Additional Vehicle Fee: $5 per night

Directions

From Jacksonville, OR, follow Highway 238 southwest for 6.5 miles, turning south on Upper Applegate Road (County Road 859) at Ruch, OR. Continue south for approximately 18.5 miles (the last 4 miles are along Applegate Lake) to the junction with County Road 777. Turn west (right) and travel about 0.3 mile. Carberry Campground is on the left side of the road.
