Prospect OHV Trail System
The Prospect OHV trail system consists of open RRSNF roads, existing system trails, and constructed OHV trails. In total, the system has approximately 250 miles of trails for visitors to enjoy!
There is also a play area with tracks and jumps at the Woodruff Play Area; look for the sand pit! Riders interested in jumping and track riding should use this area.
How do we define an OHV?
- An Off-Highway Vehicle is any non-street legal motorized vehicle.
- Learn more about the different kinds of OHVs here.
CAMPING OPPORTUNITIES
There are lots of great developed campgrounds to camp for overnight visitors, including:
- Front portion of Abbott Creek Campground (5 sites)
- Front sites at River Bridge Campground (2 sites)
- Woodruff Play Area (10 sites)
OHVs are NOT allowed in developed campgrounds on the High Cascades Ranger District, with the exception of those campgrounds listed above.
OHV recreationists are welcome at any dispersed camp within ¼ mile of a designated OHV trail.
Building tracks and jumps at dispersed camps is NOT allowed.
STAGING AREAS
Riders may stage anywhere, as long as they are within ¼ mile of a designated OHV trail.
Developed Staging Areas can be found at:
- Prospect (the scaling station);
- Woodruff (at the play area);
- Thousand Springs Sno-Park; and
- Claude Lewis Trailhead/Hamaker Sno-Park.
Developing tracks and jumps at staging sites is NOT allowed. Those who want to ride these sorts of features need to use the Woodruff Play Area.
