Boy Scout Trail (Forest Trail # 5002)
The Boy Scout Trail connects the Dragons Tooth Trail with the Appalachian Trail so that hikers may make a loop when hiking to Dragons Tooth. On the trip up to “The Tooth,” most hikers follow Dragons Tooth Trail for 1.2 miles until it ends at the A.T. On the return hike to the trailhead, some choose to stay on the A.T. for an additional mile, until reaching the Boy Scout Connector. This connector trail is an easy 1/3 mile and puts hikers almost back to the trailhead when it junctions with the Dragon Tooth Trail.
