Kelly Pines Campground
Kelly Pines Campground is an equestrian campground located along the Spring Creek Horse Trail.
Natural Features: The location is spacious with forest vegetation alongside a stream.
Recreation: The recreation area is connected to Spring Creek Horse Trail with miles of designated marked trails. View the Spring Creek Horse Trail map.
Facilities: The campground includes four campsites each with four horse stalls, as well as a double occupancy campsite with two, four horse stalls. A double occupancy campsite with two, four horse stalls is also available for advanced reservations. For visitors without horses, there are two regular campsites with no stalls. All sites have a picnic table and fire ring. There is a vault toilet and artisan well. For those with horses, a manure bin to dispose of horse waste is available, and a designated location along the stream to water horses.
Nearby Attractions: Enjoy the thrill of forest riding. Horse riding is permitted in many areas of the Allegheny National Forest. The Spring Creek Horse Trail is a major nearby attraction with over 38 miles of trail.

Directions
From Marienville, take Forest Road (FR) 130 to FR 131 N Lamonville. From Kane or Ridgeway, take State Route 66 to FR 124 (Duhring Road) at Pigeon. Take FR 131 to the right where the road comes to a three-way intersection just before crossing Spring Creek. Follow FR 131 to Kelly Pines. Please be advised that there is a sharp curve before crossing the bridge to enter the site. Vehicles over 40 feet in length may have difficulty maneuvering.

Horse Camping Info
Sites 1 and 2 are open to non-equestrians; during the riding season sites 3-7 are for equestrians only. All vehicles and trailers should be on the spur provided. The center of the turn-around circle is for day-use parking only. No temporary corrals, pickets, or high-lines are permitted. Please clean your stalls before you leave and place the manure inside the bin near the toilet. Pack out all your trash.
Equine shelter: There is one 4-stall tie-down shed at each site, with 2 such sheds on the double site.
Hitching Rails: 1 near toilet and information board.
Corrals, pickets, and high-lines are not permitted. Horses must be tied in the stalls in the shed.
Watering Tank: No watering tank, but hydrant exists with potable water suitable for livestock use.

Size Restrictions: Maximum length (trailer and truck together) of 50 feet. Please be advised that there is a sharp curve before crossing the bridge to enter the site. This could be difficult to navigate for larger vehicles/truck-trailer combinations.
Horseback Riding Info
Kelly Pines is the hub of the 38-mile Spring Creek Horse Trail system. There is a map on the information board and maps can be downloaded from this website or picked up at Allegheny National Forest offices. The riding season is from mid-May to late October. Please be aware of weather conditions and use the Forest Roads if there has been more than 1 inch of rain in a 24-hour period. The trail has been built to be sustainable, but riding in too soft conditions can still damage it. Riding is only permitted on the trail and Forest Roads in this area – please, no cross-country riding within the Spring Creek Horse Trail system.
