Visitor Maps and Guides

GPS or a cell phone may not be reliable once you’re in the forest. Signal is undependable in much of the Green Mountain and Finger Lakes National Forests and battery power can drain quickly. It is important to carry and know how to use a map and compass when visiting. It is also important to “Plan Ahead and Prepare” by reviewing maps of your destination before heading out.

There are several maps available online and in print, many of which are free to use.
