Fox Creek Cabin

A 16 x 16-foot log cabin in the Resurrection Creek valley surrounded by spruce/birch forest with views of nearby mountains.

This cabin sleeps 6, and has a table, wood stove, splitting maul, crosscut saw, and outhouse.

Not included: running water, electricity, mattresses or bedding, cooking utensils, or cut firewood.

Visit recreation.gov or call 1-877-444-6777 (overseas: 518-885-3639) to check availability and make a reservation. Cabin reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance. Cabin check-in and check-out time is 12 p.m. 

General Information

Fox Creek Cabin is available for reservations year-round.

Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round. Check-in/Check-out time is 12pm.

A permit is required to hunt at the Fox Creek Cabin. Review the Alaska Department of Fish & Game's hunting and fishing regulations.

Resurrection Pass Trail is closed to motorized vehicles May 1- November 30.

Resurrection Pass Trail is closed to pack/saddle stock April 1- June 30.  

Per night prices range from $50-75 depending on the season. Cabin fees are based on non-peak/peak season/day. Seasons vary by cabin. A non-refundable service fee will be added to each reservation by Recreation.gov

Directions

Fox Creek Cabin is located on the Resurrection Pass Trail and is 11.5 miles from the north trailhead. This cabin can be accessed by hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, skiing, and snowmobiling (during open seasons).

Travel Considerations

The last mile of road before the trailhead is not plowed in winter.

Hunting Info

Wildlife in the area includes moose, black and brown bears, Dall sheep, mountain goats, caribou, and wolves. Hunting for these species is open only in designated seasons. Fishing is unexceptional in this area.
