Tern Lake Day Use Area

Tern Lake is a day use site with 13 picnic sites, a fish viewing platform, and interpretation panels. There is water available and toilets. No fees.

Tern Lake occupies the junction of the Sterling Highway and the Seward Highway. Take the turnoff for the Sterling Highway to access day use parking.

Directions

Travel south on the Seward Highway from Anchorage and make a right onto the Sterling Highway. This site is located at Milepost 37, at the junction of the two highways.
