  • Sets a national visibility goal of no human-caused impairment in Class I areas which were further defined through the 1999 Regional Haze Rule;
  • and establishes the Prevention of Significant Deterioration of Air Quality Related Values program that mandates a review by Federal Land Managers of new or major modifications to pollution sources that could affect Class I areas.
