Mount Taylor Ranger District

Fire Danger: Moderate

Fire Restrictions: No current restrictions

Fire closures: Bluewater Fire area.

Magdalena Ranger District

Please note that the Las Huertas Picnic Area and the Sandia Cave, both located on the Sandia Ranger district, will remain closed even after the fire restrictions are lifted.  The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is working on State Highway 165; these sites are projected to reopen in early August when the NMDOT’s work is complete.
