6.6 Attractive Roadside Corridors

Roadside corridors can be designed and managed to create a pleasant driving environment, save maintenance costs, and reduce driver stress. Create visual interest with plant color, texture, form, and height. At speeds over 40 mph, the area that is greater than 40 feet from the side of the road will have more detail and will be more important visually. See 5.5 to 5.7.
