Timberlane Campground Deferred Maintenance

The Kootenai National Forest is proposing to upgrade facilities and address deferred maintenance at Timberlane Campground. Major improvements to accommodate modern day recreation vehicles are needed. Age and use have put a burden on facilities such as the pavilion, bathrooms, pavement, water, and electricity. The Great American Outdoor Act (GAOA) of 2020 sought to deliver benefits to the American public through major investments in infrastructure, recreation facilities, public lands access, and land and water conservation. The Kootenai National Forest identified Timberlane Campground as a campground that met these criteria.
