Trip of a Lifetime

The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests has over two million acres filled with incredible experiences and natural wonders.

Welcome to the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests

The forests' elevations range from 3,500 feet on the Clifton Ranger District to over 11,000 feet on the Mount Baldy Wilderness in Arizona. The ASNF is home to a large part of the Mogollon Rim and White Mountains, rich in beauty and tranquility. Water is a major attraction with 24 lakes and reservoirs and more than 400 miles of rivers and streams—more than can be found in any other southwestern forest.

The Eastern Arizona Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) is accepting proposals through Nov. 29th, 2026, from federal agencies, state and local governments, tribal governments, private and nonprofit entities, and landowners for protection, restoration and enhancement of resource conditions, and infrastructure maintenance. Projects in National Forest System (NFS) lands, and in non-Federal lands where these projects would benefit resources on NFS lands, are eligible to apply.
