Koo-Koo-Sint Bighorn Sheep Viewing Site

This site offers visitors an excellent opportunity to see close-up views of bighorn sheep grazing in a meadow. The peak viewing months are November and December, but there's a good chance of seeing bighorns October through May. At Koo-koo-sint viewing site, six interpretive signs describe the natural history of bighorn sheep, their habitat, and the geology of this Clark Fork River valley.

Directions

From Thompson Falls, travel east on state highway 200 for 8 miles. Viewing area is on north side of the highway.
