Monture Creek Campground

Open, grassy areas and large ponderosa pine make this out-of-the-way campground a delight for people who like open spaces as well as trees. The campground is located along Monture Creek and adjacent to the Monture Creek Trailhead. Fishing opportunities available. 16 miles by trail to Bob Marshall and 11 miles to Scapegoat wildernesses. Public stock facilities available.

No fees. First Come First Served. No water available. Open year-round.

General Information

A picnic table and fire ring is available at each campsite. 8 miles to groceries and gas. Patrolling volunteer campground hosts. Periodic law enforcement patrols.

Directions

From the junction of Montana highways 83 and 20 (also known as ""Clearwater Junction"") travel east on highway 200 for 12.5 miles. Turn north on Monture Road #89 and drive 7.5 miles on a good gravel road.
