Seth Diamond Interpretive Trail

The interpretive sign and trail in this old-growth conifer forest serves as a memorial to biologist Seth Diamond and highlights his contributions to habitat management through partnership projects between the Forest Service and the forest products industry.

The trail provide opportunities to walk, run or bike relatively close to town.  At the center of Girard Grove stands Gus, the largest Western Larch in the United States and one of Seeley Lake's well known tourist attractions.  These trails make up the majority of a community trails network developed over the past 15+ years. by the community.  The community is working to complete a continuous pathway around Seeley Lake with legal access.  The trail has yet to be completed on the north end of the lake and is intermittent along highway 83 between the Big Larch Campground and the Seeley Lake Ranger District Office.
