Passes

There is no entrance fee for the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison (GMUG) National Forests. The Forest is open year-round for a variety of recreational activities and uses. However, fees apply at some campgrounds and day use areas that are operated by the Forest's concessionaire from May to September. A few campgrounds are operated by Forest Service staff during the summer. The Forest Service also keeps some areas open before and after the concessionaire's full service season.

National interagency passes offer discounts, free entrances, and cover some standard amenity fees at recreation sites with the following federal agencies: U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Bureau of Reclamation.

Please visit the USGS Online Store for detailed information about how to purchase a pass online and whether purchasing a pass now is the right decision for you. Passes are available to order from the USGS Online Store (allow at least three weeks for order processing and delivery) or at your nearest national forest or grassland office.

Please remember when making your purchase that Interagency Passes are non-refundable, non-transferable, cannot be extended and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Passholders must show valid photo identification (ID) with each pass.
