Xcel Energy Line Capacity Project - Ute Rife to Collbran Line 3014
The Rifle Ranger District of the White River National Forest and the Grand Valley Ranger District of the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forest have received a request from Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo - a subsidiary of Xcel Energy Inc.) for a proposed line capacity project which involves the replacement of five overhead electric transmission structures, the installation of two new mid-span structures, and conductor splicing along PSCo?s line 3014, a 138 kV transmission line linking the Ute Rifle Substation to the Collbran Substation. The project is intended to ensure the continued reliability of the electric transmission grid.
