Beaver Ponds #516

The Beaver Pond Trail #516 begins at the Beaver Ponds Trailhead and ends at the ponds.  It climbs gently through dense aspen stands. This is an excellent day hike in the fall season. A good choice for families with small children due to length and ease. Fishing the ponds is considered fair to good. When camping, please set up campsite at least 200 feet from the ponds.   No facilities exist along the trail or at the ponds. Once on the trail, you cross into the West Elk Wilderness Area where Wilderness Regulations apply.
