Ben Lowe #109

The Ben Lowe Trail #109 begins at an intersection with the Traver Mesa Trail #111 and ends at the National Forest boundary. This trails entire length is in the Roubideau Area which was designated by Congress in 1993 as an area to be undeveloped and closed to motorized or mechanized use. It travels through the Roubideau Creek drainage, following along the west side of the creek.  About 0.4 miles before coming to an end, the trail crosses Moore Creek where it comes into Roubideau Creek.

Directions

From Montrose: Travel west on Highway 90 for approximately 23 miles to the intersection with Forest Service Road #402, Divide Road. Follow FSR #402 for approximately 11.5 miles to FSR #534. Turn north onto FSR #534 and continue for approximately 5 miles to the intersection with the Roubideau Pack Trail #544. Turn northwest on the Roubideau Trail for 0.1 miles and turn north on the Traver Trail #119. Follow the Traver Trail for approximately 3.4 miles to its intersection with the Traver Mesa Trail #111. Follow the Traver Mesa Trail for approximately 2 miles to the beginning of the Ben Lowe Trail.
