Block and Tackle #545

The Block and Tackle Trail #545 begins at an intersection with the Brush Creek Trail #400 and ends at Cement Creek Road, FSR #740.  The trail climbs to the summit of a ridge where it intersects the Double Top Trail #405.  It then descends to Cement Creek Road.  This trail provides access between the Brush Creek and Cement Creek drainages.

Directions

Brush Creek Access:

From Crested Butte, travel south on Highway 135 for approximately 2 miles to Brush Creek Road, FSR #738.  Travel approximately 8 miles east on FSR #738 to Brush Creek Trail #400 which begins at East Brush Creek.  Follow this trail for approximately 2 miles to the intersection with the Block and Tackle Trail.

Cement Creek Access:

From Crested Butte, travel south on Highway 135 for approximately 7 miles to Cement Creek Road, FSR #740.  Follow FSR #740 for approximately 12 miles to the Block and Tackle Trail.
