Buck Mesa #804

The Buck Mesa Trail #804 begins at the east end of Forest Service Road 783 and ends at Forest Service Road #704.4D, Springhouse Park Road. A combination of Forest Service Roads, BLM Roads, the Buck Creek Trail and the Thousand Acres Flats Trail make a loop route. When using an ATV, park on the north side of Old Hwy 133 and follow Coal Gulch Road through BLM and onto the national forest to the Buck Mesa Trail. The trail climbs up to and follows a rough ridge called “The Narrows” as it enters brushy country interspersed with open parks. It then enters an aspen forest continuing to climb until it reaches Forest Service Road 704.4D, Springhouse Park Road, in Springhouse Park. Domestic sheep are often seen along the trail. All motorized vehicles must travel only on the designated routes.
