Corbett #209

The Corbett Trail #209 begins and ends at intersections with the Dallas Trail #200. The trail begins a steep switchback along a red cliff ledge and continues to climb with views across the valley. It intersects the Dallas Trail at approximately 0.6 miles, continue straight to stay on the Corbett Trail. The trail climbs very steeply providing excellent views of the east face of Whitehouse Mountain, its highest peak raising 13,492 feet.  Waterfalls in Corbett Creek gorge can been seen further up the trail. The Sequin Mine is reached in approximately 1.1 miles from the intersection and the trail levels out. It then continues through scrub oak and climbs up through a ravine to a ridge before descending through forest and intersecting the Dallas Trail again after approximately 2.7 miles. The Dallas Trail and Corbett Trail combined create a 6 mile loop with an elevation gain of approximately 2,000 feet.
