Crag Crest Loop #711.1A

The Crag Crest Loop Trail #711.1A is often used in conjunction with the Crag Crest Trail #711 to enable hikers to return to their original parking area in a 10 mile circular hike. It is also used by visitors who wish to hike half the distance of the Crag Crest Trail and along a much more level route.

Directions

WESTERN ACCESS:

Travel approximately 23 miles south on Hwy 65 from Mesa, or travel north approximately 16 miles from Cedaredge. The Crag Crest Trail #711 starts from the southeast corner of the parking area. Follow the Crag Crest Trail for 0.5 miles to the Crag Crest Loop Trailhead.

EASTERN ACCESS:

Travel approximately 24 miles south on Hwy 65 from Mesa, or approximately 15 miles north from Cedaredge to Trickle Park Road, FSR #121. Turn east on Trickle Park Road and travel for approximately 5 miles to the Crag Crest Campground and trailhead. The trailhead is located on the Northern side of a small stream which flows into the lake.
