Daisy Pass Peeler #404.5A

The Daisy Pass Peeler Trail #404.5A begins at an intersection with the Daisy Pass Trail #404 and ends at Upper Peeler Lakes. This short trail provides access to the Lower and Upper Peeler Lakes which can be good fishing. The lakes sit in Peeler Basin with Peeler Peak, raising 12,227 ft., and Scarp Ridge towering above. This entire trail in within the Raggeds Wilderness Area where wilderness regulations apply. In late July and early August, you will enjoy beautiful wildflowers as you pass through open parks and meadows.

Directions

From Crested Butte: Travel north on County Road 317, Gothic Road, and continue for approximately 0.5 miles to County Road 734, Slate River Road. Turn left onto CR 734 and continue for approximately 6.9 miles to Forest Service Road 552, Poverty Gulch Road. Turn left onto FSR 552 and continue for approximately 2 miles to the beginning of the trail on the west side of the road. Follow the Daisy Pass Trail #404 for approximately 5.5 miles to the intersection with the Daisy Pass Peeler Trail.
