East Naturita Winter Trailhead

East Naturita Winter Trailhead is a 15-acre gravel parking area located approximately ten miles south of Norwood, Colorado that serves as a winter parking area for both snowmobilers and cross-country skiers. The West End Sledders Snowmobile Club maintains 30 miles of groomed trails starting on County Road 46M. Snowmobilers can access the groomed trails (snow conditions permitting) from the East Naturita Winter Trailhead by riding south and parallel to County Road 44Z for one mile before turning east onto the unplowed County Road M44. After 2.5 miles this road intersects with County Road 46M and marks the beginning of the groomed snowmobile trail network.

Directions

From Norwood, CO drive east on Colorado State Highway 145 about 1.4 miles, turning south onto County Road 44ZS (signed as Lone Cone Road). Continue south on 44ZS for approximately 10.5 miles, turning west onto Forest Road #642. Travel about 100 yards west on this road to the parking area.
