Gill ATV #666

The Gill ATV Trail #666 begins at the end of Forest Service Road #403.2A, Big Creek Road, and ends at an intersection with the Hungry Gulch Trail #665.  This trail starts out on an old two track and travels east of Gill Creek. At 0.8 miles, it crosses North Gill Creek and follow on the north side of the creek the rest of its length.

Directions

From I-70: Take Clifton/Delta Exit, #37 and follow the I-70 business loop, continuing to the third stop light take a left on Hwy 141. Proceed south to intersection Hwy 141 & Hwy 50. Take a left on Hwy 50 and continue to the town of Whitewater, approximately 2.5 miles. Turn right on Hwy 141 and travel 14.4 miles to a road that is not marked with a county designation. Just prior to turning south onto this road, there is a sign. The sign reads: NATIONAL FOREST ACCESS, DIVIDE ROAD, UNCOMPAHGRE PLATEAU. Follow this road for 6.1 miles to the National Forest Boundary and the Divide Forks ATV Complex TH North, this road becomes FSR #402, Divide Road, at the boundary. Continue southwest on FSR #402 for approximately 3.6 miles to FSR #403. Turn west on FSR #403 and continue for approximately 5.6 miles to FSR #403.2A. Turn north on FSR #402.2A and continue another 0.7 miles to its end where the trail begins. At about 0.4 miles, the trail forks, stay on the right fork.
