Little Bear Lake #660

The Little Bear Lake Trail #660 begins at it's intersects with the Basin Trail #603 and intersects the Unaweep #601 after about a half mile.  As you start out there will be a nice view of Bear Canyon off to the left.  The predominant vegetation cover is Ponderosa Pine and Aspen, interspersed with Oak brush and Manzanita. The Big Creek Basin will come into view on your right before you cross a small drainage. The Trail ends at a  scenic overlook with a view of Gill Creek drainage.

Directions

SOUTHERN ACCESS:

From the Northern Forest Boundary, travel 3.8 miles south on the Divide Road, FSR #402, to its intersection with the Big Creek Road, FSR #403. Travel south and west on the Big Creek Road for 6.3 miles to the location where the Big Creek Road ends and becomes the Basin Trail #603.  Turn left (west) on the Basin Trail and travel approximately 2.5 miles to the intersection with the Little Bear Lake Trail #660.

NORTHERN ACCESS:

The Little Bear Lake Trail #660 ends at a scenic overlook, so there is no northern access.
