Moose Manor Cabin
Moose Manor at Mesa Lakes cabin sits within aspen and spruce/fir forest on the north side of the Grand Mesa National Forest. The original cabin was constructed in the 1930’s. The cabin is located off Colorado State Highway 65, about a 45 minute drive from Grand Junction area of western Colorado.
The semi-rustic cabin has a refrigerator, indoor plumbing including a shower and flush toilet, and an electric cooking stove. Electricity is available and provides the lighting and heat. Sleeping accommodations include 1 queen size sofa sleeper and 4 twin size beds. Air mattress or cots can be brought in to accommodate 8 adults. Moose Manor has a fireplace to enjoy. A large grass yard fronts the cabin, which is perfect for family gatherings and weddings!
This cabin will be available both weekdays and weekends.

If you are planning a wedding or family reunion at this facility and you are anticipating 75 or more people please contact the Grand Valley Ranger District at 970-242-8211 and request a Special-use permit for noncommercial group use. Applicants need to fill out the FS-2700-3b form and return to the Grand Valley Ranger District attention Ryan Fricke-Recreation Resource Specialist.

The Mesa Lakes Recreation area has 7 lakes within walking distance and includes a hand carry boat launch for canoes and non-motorized boating.

From Grand Junction: If traveling along I-70 take Exit 49 (Grand Mesa Scenic & Historic Byway). Travel South on State hwy 65 approximately 23 miles. Turn right into Mesa Lakes Recreation Area. Take second right towards Day Use parking area and bare left to gate to Mesa Lakes Ranger Station. Moose Manor is 2nd cabin on left. Parking is behind cabin.
From Cedaredge: Travel north on State Hwy 65 approximately 28 miles. Turn left into Mesa Lakes Recreation Area. Take second right towards Day use parking area and bare left to gate to Mesa Lakes Ranger Station. Moose Manor is 2nd cabin on left. Parking is behind cabin.
