See Forever #415

The See Forever Trail #415 begins at about 0.25 miles south of the St. Sophia gondola station and ends at an intersection with the Wasatch Connection Trail #508.1B. This trail is in the Telluride Ski Area and provides panoramic views overlooking the Town of Telluride as well as views of distant peaks in the Lizard Head Wilderness. The trail begins by ascending steep steps to the See Forever ski run. At about 1.2 miles, the trail intersects a gravel road which ultimately switchbacks steeply up the Gold Hill ridge and intersects with the Wasatch Connection Trail.

Open to hiking only from its intersection with the Basin Trail #632, up the steps, to its intersection with the West Drain Road. The West Drain Road is open to mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding.

Directions

From Telluride: Go to the gondola located on San Juan Avenue, 3 blocks south of the main street, Colorado Avenue. Take the free gondola to the top of the mountain, exiting at the St. Sophia station. From the gondola station, walk south on the Nature Trail for about 200 yards to the log cabin. Continue on the adjacent road, Basin Road, for approximately 300 yards as it proceeds south past the Village Trailhead sign to the snowmaking pond and See Forever Trailhead sign.
