Star Lily Connector #623
The Star Lily Connector Trail #623 begins at an intersection with the Lily Pond Trail #534 and ends at an intersection with the Star Trail #411. As its name suggests, it connects these two trails. This trail alternates between dense forests and open meadows as it steadily climbs a drainage to intersect the Star Trail at the base of American Flag Mountain, raising to 12,713 feet.

Directions
From Crested Butte: Travel south on Hwy 135 for approximately 7.5 miles to County Road 740, Cement Creek Road. This road becomes Forest Service Road 740 at the National Forest boundary. Turn left on FSR 740 and continue for approximately 9 miles to FSR 759, Italian Creek Road. Turn east onto FSR 759 and continue for approximately 9.4 miles to FSR 759.3A. Turn north on to FSR 759.3A, the Start Trail #411 starts at the end of the road in about 261 feet. Follow the Star Trail for about half a mile to the intersection with the Star Lily Connector Trail.
From Gunnison: Travel north on Hwy 135 for approximately 10 miles to the intersection with County Road 742. Turn east onto CR 742 and continue for approximately 38.2 miles to the Dorchester Campground and an intersections with FSR 742.3K. Turn south onto FSR 742.3K and continue for about half a mile to the beginning of the Lily Pond Trail on the west side of the road. Follow the Lily Pond Trail for about a mile to FSR 759, Italian Creek Road, follow it for about a quarter mile to the continuation of the Lily Pond Trail on the south side of the road and follow it for about 0.8 miles to the intersection with the Star Lily Connector Trail.
