Sunlight To Powderhorn Snowmobile

The Sunlight to Powderhorn Trail begins by the Sunlight Ski Area near Glenwood Springs on the White River National Forest and ends on the west end of the Grand Mesa south of the Powderhorn Ski Area on the Grand Mesa National Forest.  The trail is groomed and marked with green reflectors and provides access to approximately 180 miles of groomed and ungroomed trails. There are numerous access points, which makes this trail perfect for the experienced snowmobiler as well as the newcomer.  Enjoy the spectacular views of snow-covered mountains as you explore the trails.   More information on this trail.

Directions

Four Mile Trailhead:

From Glenwood, follow County Road 117, Four Mile Road, for approximately 9 miles to the intersection with Forest Service Road 300, just before the Sunlight Ski Area. Turn right onto FSR #300 which is a gravel road. Continue for approximately 2.5 miles to the parking area on the Trailhead.

Grand Mesa Visitor Center Trailhead:

From Cedaredge, travel north on State Highway 65 for approximately 15.6 miles. Turn right on Forest Service Road #121. The trailhead is on the right after turning onto FSR #121.
