Warm Springs #406

The Warm Spring Trail #406 begins at the end of Forest Service Road 740.2C, Walrod Gulch Road, and ends at FSR 740, Cement Creek Road. A connection shortcut between Walrod Gulch and Cement Creek. This short downhill route is a favorite among mountain bikers because it’s fast, technical, and steep. Please use caution, this trail is open for motorized use also.

Directions

From Crested Butte: Travel south on Hwy 135 for approximately 6.5 miles to the intersection with County Road 740, Cement Creek Road. CR 740 becomes FSR 740 at the National Forest boundary. Turn left onto CR 740 and continue for approximately 2.9 miles to FSR 740.2C, Walrod Gulch Road. Turn north onto FSR 740.2C and continue for approximately 1.6 miles to the end of the road where the trail begins. The Warm Spring Trail goes south.
