West Fork #240

The West Fork Trail #240 starts at Forest Service Road #858.3G, and ends and Forest Service Road 858, Owl Pass/Cimarron Road. It starts near the Middle Fork of the Cimarron River, climbs a ridge and travels along the ridge until it intersects the Cowboy Lake Trail #244 after about 1.6 miles. It then descends toward the East Fork of the Cimarron River before coming to an end at FSR 858.

Directions

From Montrose:

Travel east on Hwy 50 for approximately 21 miles to the intersection for County Road 858. Turn right onto Forest Service Road 858, Big Cimarron Road, and travel south for approximately 20.1 miles, approximately 1.5 miles past the Silver Jack Reservoir turn off. Turn right onto Forest Service Road #858.3G and continue for approximately 0.26 miles to the end of the road where the trail begins.
