Mallard Trailhead
Located along Forest Road 89a, the Mallard Trailhead is the larger of the two trailheads along Forest Road 89a that provide trail access to Bear Canyon Lake. The trailhead provides a vault toilet and ample parking. The trail to the lake is approximately 1/4 mile down a steep canyon embankment.

Late spring - late fall annually. The area closes to wheeled motor vehicles after the first measurable snowfall each winter
