Adopt-A-Trail Program
Volunteers are the lifeblood of trail maintenance on the Carson National Forest. Over 30 individuals and groups currently adopt and maintain 22 trails, covering 181 miles.
The Forest partners with two organizations to manage trail adopters and work:
- The Continental Divide Trail Coalition manages segment adopters along the Continental Divide Scenic Trail.
- The Enchanted Circle Trails Association manages adopters of all other trails on the Forest.
