Sandia Cave NHL Improvements Project has been designed to help the Sandia Ranger District manage the site at a level commensurate with the current visitation demands that are increasingly impacting the safety, environment, and visitor experience.

The Sandia Cave parking lot/trailhead is located approximately 2.4 miles south of the forest boundary to the east side of NM 165. The cave is located at the end of the trail (0.5 miles)
