Lake McClellan Campground

This campground is situated at an elevation of 3,500 feet.  There are 60 camping units. 

The lake dries up seasonally. Call ahead for more information.

Current Conditions
Currently, Lake McClellan is dry. The lake is prone to drought and low water conditions throughout the year. The reservoir has gone dry several times since 2000. If you need more information, please call the Black Kettle Ranger District.

General Information

Year round

The Cibola honors all types of America the Beautiful passes which are available for purchase at the Cibola Supervisor's Office and at all district offices. Day use passes can be purchased online

ATVs may not be ridden in the campground. 

Single Site: $10 Per Night, Single Site with Power: $15 Per Night

$3 per day use. $10 per night for single unit camping, $15 per night for water and electric hookups. $5 per ATV to use designated trail. If you do not have a pass, you may purchase one online, or look for the Pay Station on site. Envelopes for payment are in the box next to the fee tube. CASH OR CHECK ONLY at pay station.

Drive 18 miles east of Groom, Texas, on Interstate 40, take exit 128, and go north 3 miles on Farm Market Road 2477.
