MOTOR VEHICLE USE RESTRICTIONS

Wilson Trail System

 

Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 CFR 261.50(b), the following act is prohibited on the National Forest System Trails (NFST), known as the “Wilson Trail System” in the Mountain Home Ranger District, Boise National Forest, described below and shown on the attached map incorporated into this Order (“Restricted Trails”).

 

PROHIBITIONS:

1. Using any type of motor vehicle on the Restricted Trails from October 1 to June 15. 36 CFR 261.55(b) 

 

EXEMPTIONS:

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:

1. Persons with a special use authorization or other Forest Service authorization specifically exempting them from the effect of this Order.

2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.

3. Federal or State administrative personnel in the performance of an official duty. 

 

RESTRICTED TRAILS DESCRIBED:

The Restricted Trails are all trails within the Wilson Trail System or the entire 600 NFST system to include NFST 606, 607, 608, 609, 611, and 612. The Restricted Trails are located within Township 1 South, Range 8 East, Sections 1 and 2; Township 1 North, Range 8 East, Sections 25, 26, 34, 35 and 36; Township 1 North, Range 9 East, Sections 30 and 31. They are within the Mountain Home Ranger District, Boise National Forest, Boise Meridian, Elmore County, ID.

 

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this Order is to protect big game during critical life stages.

 

IMPLEMENTATION:

Order Number:  0402-01-98 1. This Order will be in effect beginning October 1, 2021 and shall remain in effect until June 15, 2026 or until rescinded by the Forest Supervisor.

2. A map identifying the Restricted Trails is attached to as Exhibit A and is made part of this Order.

3. A violation of the above prohibition(s) is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual, or $10,000 for an organization, and/or imprisonment for not more than six months. [16 U.S.C. § 551, 18 U.S.C. §§ 3559, 3571, 3581].
