Fish Creek Cross Country Ski Trailhead North

The Fish Creek Cross Country Ski Trailhead is south of Afton on the way to Salt Pass. The north pullout is on the east of the highway, accessing the north spur of the east-side loop trail. South access to both east and west loops is at the top of Salt Pass, with a fine overlook into the range. Parking there is available on both sides of the highway. The west side trail also offers fine powder options in a snowmobile closure area for those enjoying free-heel turns. Sometimes the lower trailhead serves as overflow snowmobile parking for Smiths Fork route.

Directions

From the Town of Afton, Wyoming, head south on United States Highway 89 (US-89) for approximately 15 miles and make a left. Fish Creek Cross Country Ski Trailhead located at the beginning of West Fork Fish Creek/Forest Service Road 10430 just off of US-89.
