Fish Creek Cross Country Ski Trailhead South

The north pullout is on the east of the highway, accessing the north spur of the east-side loop trail. South access to both east and west loops is at the top of Salt Pass, with a fine overlook into the range. Parking there is available on both sides of the highway. The west side trail also offers fine powder options in a snowmobile closure area for those enjoying free-heel turns. Sometimes the lower trailhead serves as overflow snowmobile parking for Smiths Fork route.

Directions

From the Town of Afton, Wyoming, head south on United States Highway 89 (US-89) for approximately 16 miles and make a left into the pullout. Fish Creek Cross Country Ski Trailhead just off of US-89 to the east within this pullout.
