Catavee Campground
Catavee Campground sits along the shores of Huntington Lake, near the Kaiser Wilderness. The campground is surrounded by dense fir and pine trees, offering good privacy at many of the campsites. Some sites overlook Bear Creek, while others provide views of the lake. This location also offers convenient access to the many activities and events around Huntington Lake, including swimming, sailing, boating, non-motorized boating, fishing and water skiing.
Right next to the campground is the Billy Creek Guard Station Museum, which features exhibits on the history of Huntington Lake, local Native American heritage, and the Forest Service.
California Land Management sponsors a variety of interpretive programs and nature walks throughout the summer at several locations in the Huntington Lake area. Schedules for these programs are posted at campgrounds throughout the basin. A marina is also nearby for easy access to water activities.
There are many hiking trails in the area, including Rancheria Falls, Indian Pools and Black Point. Hikers and horseback riders can access the 12-mile Kaiser Loop Trail, which connects to a network of trails within the Kaiser Wilderness.

At Huntington Lake, services are available at the China Peak Landing Camp Store, Lakeshore Resort and Rancheria Enterprises. *Be aware that cell service is limited to the Huntington Lake area.
This is Bear Country. Please store food properly and don’t feed the bears. Bring mosquito repellant.

Maximum group size = 6 per site Reservations can be made up to 1 day before arrival. There is a two night minimum stay on weekends and a three night minimum stay on holidays. Before you proceed to the campground, check in at Eastwood CLM office (east of Huntington Lake).
Overnight Use: 50% discount for single site camping with any of these passes: Interagency Senior, Interagency Access, Golden Age, or Golden Access. Applies to fee for site occupied by the pass holder.

Directions
From Clovis, California, take Highway 168 towards Shaver Lake north for 40 miles then continue for another 20 miles to Huntington Lake. Continue around Huntington Lake for 1.3 miles to Catavee Campground.
