Bannon Mountain Trailhead

This trailhead accesses  a series of old Forest Service Roads that have been converted to trails designated for Horse and off-road vehicle (OHV) use in the Bannon Mountain area. 

Trailhead provides parking for horse and OHV trailers. The site also has a livestock corral, unloading ramp, 3 picnic tables/fire rings, and a vault toilet.

Open 24 hours/day

  • Quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
  • Campfire in developed fire ring only        
  • Fireworks are prohibited
  • Pets must be under voice command or on leash             
  • Maximum length of stay: 14 days       
  • Food and wildlife attractants must be properly stored at all times

Directions

From Tonasket, travel State Route 20 east for 12 miles to the Aeneas Valley turnoff, County Road #9455. Follow the Aeaneas Valley Road #9455 2 miles to the Peony Creek Road (Forest Service Road #3010). Drive Forest Service Road #3010 2 miles to the Forest Service Road #3010-200. Turn onto Forest Service Road #3010-200 and drive approximately .5 mile to the Bannon Mountain Trailhead on the right.
