Long Lake

Long Lake is a 13-acre 58-foot deep, clear water lake located at an elevation of 3,237 feet. This is a non-motorized fly fishing only lake. Fry-planted Cutthroat Trout should yield 7-12 inch catches, especially by fall. There is a boat launch and Forest Service Campground along the northeastern shoreline. To protect breeding common loons, it is unlawful to use flies containing lead. Lakeshore access is generally good, but can be limited in aread due to brush and trees. Beautiful views of the lake can be seen from the 1.5 mile trail that traverses along the waters edge and extends north to Fish Lake.   You can hear and see wildlife living on the lake including the common loon.  Two-pole fishing is allowed.

Current Conditions
Access road to lake closed to vehicles on November 30.

General Information
