Coffeepot Trailhead

This trailhead is located at the end of a two-track road and provides access into Black Canyon Wilderness from the northwest via Coffeepot Trail (#820B).

General Information

Please fill out a Wilderness Registration Permit located in the box attached to the sign board and place it in the slot before beginning your hike.
This is a Day-Use only facility.  No overnight camping is permitted at trailheads or Sno-Parks on the Ochoco National Forest or Crooked River National Grassland.

This is a free facility.

Getting There

Directions

From Mitchell, Oregon:

Head east on Hwy 26 for approximately 12 miles.

Turn right onto Forest Service Road 12.

Continue south for approximately 18 miles.

Turn left onto Forest Service Road 38 and continue approximately 12 miles.

Coffeepot Trailhead will be on your right.

Parking is available in a small parking lot.
