Steins Pillar Trailhead

The parking area for this trail is accessed near the end of a windy and bumpy dirt road that climbs elevation steeply, so be sure your vehicle can handle the drive.

The trailhead itself provides access to Steins Pillar Trail (#837), which allows visitors to get to the base of an intriguing rock feature and actually touch the erosional remnant if they desire.

General Information

Open 24 hours/day

This is a Day-Use only facility.  No overnight camping is permitted at trailheads or Sno-Parks on the Ochoco National Forest or Crooked River National Grassland.
