This project will salvage up to 250 acres within the Powder River watershed. No salvage will occur in Riparian Habitat Conservation Areas.

The fire area is west of Durkee, south of Baker City, and north of Hereford, OR between Highways 84 and 7. This watershed is the northern portion of the fire area.
