American Chestnut Restoration
Construct fencing to protect the existing American Chestnut progeny plantation in Fays Meadow for research purposes. Activities include planting up to 500 additional chestnut seedlings at the Fays Meadow site, and Dutton Brook II units 12 and 13. The 30-day notice and comment legal notice was published in the Rutland Herald newspaper of record on July 24, 2012. No comments of concern were received during the 30-day comment period ending August 24, 2012.
