Bingo Road

Vermont—Also known as Forest Road 42, Bingo Road is located 4.5 miles west of Rochester, Vermont off State Route 73. This dead-end, country road meanders along a stream and offers a variety of opportunities to stop and enjoy nature with little traffic.

General Information

Bingo Road, or Forest Road 42, is a gravel road that forks off the eastern end of Route 73 and dead-ends surrounded by national forest. The road provides access to several recreation opportunities on the National Forest but as a Forest Service road, closes to motor vehicle use in the winter.

The road runs along Bingo Brook, a mountain stream, and nearly runs into Joseph Battell Wilderness Area. Dispersed camping opportunities can be found along the road or along the forest roads that spur from Forest Road 42.
