Baileys Trail System
The Baileys Trail System is located in the Athens Unit of the Athens Ranger District and managed by the Outdoor Recreation Council of Appalachia. Currently, 26 miles of trail are on the ground and open. Partners are currently planning additional trail construction in 2021.
When complete, the Baileys will be a sustainable 88-mile purpose-built mountain bike trail system with community trailheads and connectivity to cities in Athens County via the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway; a recreation asset that is operated and maintained in partnership with the Outdoor Recreation Council of Appalachia regional council of governments. There will be trails for every level of mountain biker. Hikers, trail runners, nature enthusiasts, and hunters are welcome, too.
Visitors can access the trail from the main trailhead at Chauncey-Dover Community Park in Chauncey, OH. A second trailhead will be available in Doanville, OH in 2021.
